The Company
Pysae is a software company of 30 people building SaaS solutions for the public transport sector. Our platform covers real-time vehicle tracking, passenger information and operations management for bus and coach operators — designed to improve operational efficiency and integrate deeply with our clients' IT systems.
We support more than 120 clients, including major operators such as Transdev, Keolis and RATP, and equip more than 10,000 buses across mainland France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. With a strong footprint in France, we are now expanding globally — and we're looking for a talented Bid Engineer to strengthen our bid management and pre-sales capabilities, with a focus on Italy and our broader European expansion.
Your Mission
As a Bid Engineer, you are the backbone of how Pysae wins new business through tenders — and a key technical voice in front of clients during pre-sales. You combine strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to present our solution clearly to a CIO, an operations director, or a transport operator's procurement team.
You work hand in hand with our Sales, Product and Deployment teams to assess what we can commit to, and how to build a compelling, compliant response to every tender. You are also the connective tissue when Pysae bids as an integrator — coordinating partners, subcontractors and external project managers so that every stakeholder delivers their piece on time. From the first RFP to contract signature, you make sure Pysae shows up credible, rigorous and ready to deliver.
Your Responsibilities
Bid management
Monitor and qualify relevant tenders for Pysae, in France and internationally, with a strong focus on Italy
Analyze tender requirements and assess technical and commercial feasibility with Sales, Product and Deployment
Write and structure technical proposals and RFP responses, adapting and translating bid packages for the Italian market
Ensure administrative compliance of submissions (supporting documents, certificates, deadlines, submission platforms)
Pre-sales & client-facing
Present Pysae and the solution to clients and prospects during pre-sales meetings: product demos, technical prerequisites, functional and technical Q&A
Support the sales team — Italy first, then other European markets — through discovery and closing on technical topics
Partner & project coordination
Act as the main point of contact for partners, subcontractors and external project managers when Pysae bids as an integrator
Coordinate contributions from all parties throughout the pre-sales phase, acting as project lead on the bid itself
Continuous improvement
Build and maintain a library of reusable content (template answers, client references, technical proof points)
Track tender pipeline and win rates, and contribute to improving Pysae's bid process over time
Your Profile
Languages: Italian fluent, English fluent, French professional
Experience: 3–8 years in bid management, technical pre-sales or a similar role, ideally in public tenders
Writing & structure: excellent writing and synthesis skills, sharp attention to detail
Communication: comfortable presenting a technical solution to varied audiences — operational, technical, decision-makers
Coordination: able to run multi-party coordination (partners, subcontractors, external project managers) with a project-management mindset
Organized: rigorous, structured, able to juggle multiple files under tight deadlines
Cross-functional: comfortable working across Sales, Tech, Product and Finance
Bonus: familiarity with the public transport or mobility sector
